A. What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help Partywitme function efficiently. We use them to remember your preferences and keep the "vibe" consistent across your sessions.
B. How We Use Cookies
We categorize our cookies into three types:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies: * Purpose: Authentication and Security.
- Function: These allow you to log in, manage your "Organizer Dashboard," and prevent fraudulent "Join Requests." The app cannot function without these.
- Functional & Preference Cookies: * Purpose: Personalization.
- Function: These remember your city (e.g., Lagos, London, NYC) so your "What’s Happening Now" feed shows relevant events. They also save your progress in the "30-Second Event Creator" form.
- Analytics & Performance Cookies: * Purpose: Growth and Improvement.
- Function: These track how many people view an event versus how many buy a ticket. This data is aggregated and anonymous, helping us improve the platform experience.
C. Your Choices (Opt-in/Opt-out)
-
EU/UK/California Users: In compliance with global privacy laws, we will not fire non-essential (Analytics/Functional) cookies until you explicitly click "Accept" on our cookie banner.
-
Browser Settings: You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but please note that certain parts of Partywitme (like ticket check-in) may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.
D. Third-Party Cookies
We may use third-party tools like Google Analytics or payment processors (Paystack/Stripe). These partners may set their own cookies to ensure secure payment processing and site performance.
